Jo-Ann Frances Kinsella died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Newport, Sunday, March 4th, 2012.
Born in Newport in 1943, Jo-Ann graduated from Rogers High School in 1960. She was married to the late Robert James Kinsella of Louisville, KY and together they raised five sons. Early on Jo-Ann worked as a bank teller at Newport National but was well known for her twenty-year career at Sigs Market. More recently, Mrs. Kinsella worked as a Client Instructor at the Maher Center in Middletown. She was a life-long resident of Newport whose favorite past time was swimming and sunbathing at the beach.
Jo-Ann is survived by her sister, Betty Patrick of Newport, her brothers Dean Thompson of Middletown and Phillip Berry, as well as her five sons; 1st Sgt. Kenneth Kinsella of New Hampshire, twins Keith Kinsella of Newport and Kevin Kinsella of New York, Patrick Kinsella of New Jersey, and Daniel Kinsella of Middletown. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Robyn, Kyle, Cole, Ashleigh, Eamon and Mave. Jo-Ann was twin sister to the late Linda Metz.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport from 4-7pm. Burial will be private.
